Legal & Copyright
Last updated: 9 September 2026
VemoVide is a platform, not a producer. This page explains what that means, how copyright works on the Service, and how to report content that should not be here.
1. Platform nature
VemoVide hosts and delivers series that creators, studios and partners ("Content Partners") upload or license to us. Content Partners declare that they own or are licensed to distribute what they upload, and they remain responsible for it. VemoVide acts as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and observes due diligence as required by those rules.
2. Copyright on the Service
All Content is protected by copyright and belongs to its Content Partner or licensor. Watching Content on the Service does not give you any rights in it. Downloading, recording, re-uploading or redistributing Content is prohibited unless the Service provides a specific feature for it.
The VemoVide name, logo, app and website design are trademarks and works of VemoVide.
3. Reporting infringing content (notice and takedown)
If you own rights in a work and believe Content on the Service infringes them, send us a notice with: (a) your name and contact details; (b) identification of the work and proof of your rights; (c) the series or episode concerned (title and link); (d) a statement, made in good faith, that the use is not authorised; and (e) your signature or electronic equivalent.
On receiving a valid notice we will act expeditiously, normally within 36 hours, to disable access to the Content, inform the Content Partner, and give them an opportunity to respond. Content is restored only if the Content Partner shows it is authorised. Repeat infringers lose access to the partner portal.
4. Content standards
Content Partners must not upload material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, hateful, harmful to children, infringing, or that they have no right to distribute. We review submissions before publication and remove Content that breaches these standards, our Terms or the law. Comments are moderated under the same standards.
5. Grievance redressal
In line with the 2021 Rules, VemoVide will publish the name and contact details of its Grievance Officer here and in the app. Grievances are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days, or within the shorter period the rules prescribe for specific categories of complaint.
6. Law enforcement and legal requests
We respond to lawful orders from courts and authorised government agencies in accordance with applicable law, and we preserve records as the law requires.
7. Trademarks and third parties
Google Play and Android are trademarks of Google LLC; App Store is a trademark of Apple Inc. Their use here identifies platforms only and implies no endorsement.
